Indiana Jones HUO –1st Restoration!

SHERBORN, MA: Over 70 hours of restoration work went into this HUO, a very desirable Superpin (Wide Body) pinball machine from the much-loved early 1990’s Williams collection of pins. The game has the original un-faded cabinet artwork, which is a rare phenomena on this title, as most had at least one side faded out to yellow/white.

We upgraded the MPU to NVRAM and upgraded the 5v section on the driver board. Stripped down the entire topside of the game to give it a dep cleaning and buff and cleaned the ramps, wire forms and plastic posts and lane guides. Installed premium long lasting Titan silicone clear rubber all around, red silicone flipper rubber as well as multi colored Titan rubber posts.

Comet warm white retro LEDs and 1 SMD reds and greens for the GI in the backbox and the playfield. Incandescent everywhere else as they shine with just the right amount of brightness through the cleaned underside inserts. We rebuilt the flipper mechs and installed new bats. Rebuilt the drop target board and installed new drop targets all around with upgraded gold foil drop target stickers instead of the found everywhere yellow colored ones.

Installed new trough opto boards as well as the main multi opto board under the playfield that governs the idol ball lock system of optos. New kicker plastics. Upgraded the pop bumper lighting to multi-led type to make that area “POP”. Rebuilt all the pop bumper mechs with new spoons and fine adjusted for optimal sensitivity/action. Fine tuned all playfield switches for optimal sensitivity. Cleaned and lubed the gun launching trigger mech.

Modified the mode start saucer backstop so that it has minimal bounce outs that this title was plagued with from the factory due to a design flaw. Added a red LED to the saucer and a green led to the scoop.

This game sold, but apparently we were to share yet another chapter in the life of this game! Read more about our pinball adventure with Indiana Jones.
